Hello,
I have a '85 Ford 1310 with the optional differential lock in the rear. I was playing with it the other day because i had never used it before, and now i cant get it to unlock. The handle is in the unlock position, and i have tried everything the operators manual says to get it to unlock, but it wont. It gets kinda hard to work the tractor when it wont turn with a heavy implement on the back.

Thanks for the info! I havent got an opportunity to try this yet, but it sounds like your speaking from experience. Is this a common thing to happen on this tractor? Thanks again.

It is possible to pull the pedal up too far and re-engage the difflock. Try pushing it all the way down again and pull it back up 3-4". Jack up one rear wheel and rock it back and forth to help "unload" the difflock. The lever is prone to seizing where it goes through the rear end housing; spray liberally with your favorite penetrant while working the linkage up and down. Or get it disengaged and leave it alone!
