Can anyone tell me what kind of Transmission fluid to get? I bought a used one with no manual for it. I want to mow today b/c my grass is tall!!

You need 737-3120 (quart), 737-3121 (gallon), synthetic trans fluid. and be ware of the clutch packs on that unit not a very sturdy tranny. David

Thanks for your responses. It is a hydrostatic and I have no clue what a tranny is. All I know is that I push mowed my 1 acre the last two weeks and don't want to do it again! I bought the 737-3025 and will use it for the next time I mow.

Thanks for your assistance. I don't know much about mechanics but almost think I need to take an entire course on lawnmowers!!

If you use 737-3025 instead of 737-3120 in that huydro trans you'll need more than fluid and filter especially if you mix them David

I am assuming it is a hydrostat transmission. The IH Cub Cdets used Hy-tran. I just bought a new Cub Cadet last summer and they have their own special oi8l for the tranny. Dealer said some have tried other oils but burned out the tranny.
