I've been working on an old dogde truck tryint to get it running again. I have it all back together but I can't get gas to the carb. Or even in the fuel line. Someone has take a 5 gal container that I think is for like a boat maybe that lays flat and there is a hose that comes out of it and there is a lid that has a vent screw thing in it. How can I get gas to the carb and in the line w/ out sucking on the end of the hose without my mouth? Any ideas would help. Thanks!

Aloha, I am assuming that you are not using the fuel pump from the engine. If you are just using the boat gas tank, I would fill it up (not to the top)and close the vent and shake the 5 gal can. The gas will expand and fuel should come out of the line. Keep the tank higher than the carb and it will siphon out of the 5 gal can (gravity) and don't forget to open the vent valve. You may also have to open up the line at the carb until the fuel starts to flow out. Another way to do it,is to get one of those siphoning hoses with the rubber ball with a check valve that they use for outboard boat motors. There are many other ways but these should get you started. TIA
