i am new to farm machinery. just picked up a 2 year old 5 foot rotary mower//pto driven. didnt come with owners manual. how much gear oil do i put in the gear box?? do i fill it to the top//half way?? can someone help?? (mower was built by world agritedh corp in bethel ohio)

Last time I checked the company was alive and well. They sold Caroni parts and I bought blades and seals for my finish mower from them, Bethel is east of Cincinnati. Run a search and you'll probably find them. I don't think they 'build' anything, just a distributor.

They use to build trailers ,mowers and lots of other things at their place in Bethel,I was there once in the early 90s and picked up a load of equip. Cant find anything in a search,have a couple of their mowers, thats why I was asking.

I think you'll find a plug about a third of the way up from the bottom of the case. Fill it to there.

Keep a close eye on the level; if the seal goes on the output shaft you'll lose all your oil and be none the wiser.
