Anybody know about a small tap on fuel pipe taking fuel to the glow plug of a Dexta tractor? The problem is that the fuel is dripping into the cylinders when the tractor is left overnight. All suggestions gratefully received!

The typical source for fuel to operate thermostart is the injector/injection pump return line. I don't think a Dexta is any different. Shouldn't be too hard to find the fuel line going to the thermostart unit screwed into the intake manifold. Disconnect/ cap/ plug it off and see if that eliminates the problem. Do you have excessive smoke and rough running as well?

Sorry Rick, the Dexta is totaly different. The Dexta has a dedicated line from the fuel tap to the heater in the manifold. The fuel tap incorporates a primer pump.

The normal cure for this problem is to fit a small tap in the line next to the heater unit and turn it on and off as required. Fordson did this with some but not all Dexta and Super dexta tractors.
