Tractor with FEL for landscaping

Years ago, my grandfather and I would do custom landscaping when we were not busy haying, or cutting grass. We used a Ford 5000 and a 641, which I still have today, even though he has passed on. I work in the oilfields with 2 weeks off at a time when I am not working. People still call and ask if I would do some landscaping for them. I am thinking about doing it again, but would like to use a different tractor- 5000 is too big for the yards of today and the 641 has no PS. I would like something in the 30 - 40 HP range with a quick attach FEL. A tractor with a permanent mounted FEL would be a PITA at times and cut down on usability. Any suggestions as to what I should buy? I am not color blind so any make is possible. Also what is the best FEL for ease of attaching and removing?

All of todays new line of compacts are real nice for doing "close quarters" landscape work. Kubota, Kioti, Deere, NH, or any of the "majors" will do the trick. They have "factory" quick-attach loaders for all of them. Only problem???? You need to have the keys to the bank vault to afford one.

I just recently bought a Bush Hog (QT series) loader for a 2440 Deere I have. It's a sweet little loader that is easy to put on/take off. Just make sure you've got a good tractor (good hydraulics/easy shifting transmission) before spending the bucks on an "add-on loader".

Thanks Indy. Hope all is well with you. I pretty much thought so as to the make of the tractor. So you would recommend the Bush Hog line of quick attach FEL's? That is really the main questione I need answered now.

I like what I've seen of them, and apparently so does John Deere. I understand Bush Hog contracts with Deere to make the loaders for the new line of Deere compact tractors.

I'd feel as safe with one of the Bush Hog loaders as anything I've seen on the market today.

Kubota has it all pick a size and you won"t be unhappy.
Now if you was to be playing then a MF35 or an Oliver 550 would be the ticket. However to make money then get a Kubota with factor loader, mower, etc
