I'm replacing batteries(3EH 6 volt) on new generation tractors and am looking for a source of Deka or other good batteries in the central Maryland, south central Pennsylvania area. The local John Deere dealer isn't selling John Deere batteries but is charging more than he did for Deere batteries last winter

Optima battery, two 12V in parallel. And run new 2/00 cables bringing both battery's ground right to one of the bolts that hold the starter. You will think there was 24V applied to that starter compared to what you had. The Optima batteries have excellent heat and vibration resistance.

Mixon Incorporated is an independent battery manufacture that can probably furnish you low- selling-volume or about any other lead acid battery you want. They are located in St Paul, MN, Phone:651-646-2707. I am not affiliated with them.

Do they sell a 3EE or do I have to build a box to hang them on the frame rail? If I build a box it's in the way of the loader frame and mounts.
Who sells Optima batteries?

My mistake. You are looking for those long lean dingaling batteries used on the 10 & 20 series Waterloo tractors. Mother Deere does sell a decent battery. Two 12V will usually beat two sixes in cranking current & voltage.

Must be talking about Finches,I'm sure they could come up with batteries for a lawnmower, that's about all they stock parts for anymore.Might want to be looking for 3ee batteries,3eh are taller and tend to hit the platform.

It takes two 3EH's to spin a 4320, One big 12 volt will in warm weather, but not a 3EE not enough CCA's.

This is the other reason I converted to 12V batteries on my 4230. Great batteries, great prices, great availability.
