how do i adjust the front power take off clutch that runs the lawn mower.

Not sure what you want to adjust, but if it is slipping, I think you will have to take it off to work on it.
There are 6 allen screws (two to each hole) to remove it from the crankshaft. After it is off, you can increase the tension on the clutch disk by tightening the flat-headed screws that go through the clutch to the pressure plate.

I suggest you pick up a manual. There should be a description and a diagram in it that you would find very helpful. Try a Cub Cadet dealer or WWWBinderBooks dot com for manuals. (use all lower case)
