Much of the mixed grain and even the odd field of coen was planted during the past week/10 days. Warm spring days but usually frost at night. No preciptation since snow on March 27th. Winter wheat has greened up and maybe an inch high. Snow storm hit today and is expected to snow until Monday. 5" of the white crap out there at the moment. Going to fire up the snowmobile tomorrow.

Central Texas- dry enough that the tandem disk layed out some sparks when I pulled in across the field. My chisel plow did gouge the ground some but not enough to do anything with.

Should be OK if it has only been up a couple days....snow will keep the plants just above 32....Tomarrow it should warm a little and water that corn.....I expect your crop this fall will be on the plus side ..... .let us know.....don

No been pretty nice here. Mid 70's to mid 80's and dry.

Saw a guy today raking and baling his first cutting of hay.

Here in Thumb of Mi got an inch of snow on the ground and more coming. They are predicting up to 6 inches total. My friend just finished planting 800 acres of corn.

It shouldn't hurt it as it is not up yet. Some people claim if corn is frozen while still small ,1or 2" it will yield better.

Our average date for last frost is April 9th. It frosted last night where I was at, just some 30 miles from where I live. There are winter weather advisories for tonight that state it may drop into the 20s--and of course with frost.

Expect there goes my apricot crop. Soil temperature has been very cool so I don"t have any garden out yet which is unusually late.
