Just rebuilt a cylinder on my loader and the oil looks pretty milky so Im gonna change it.Should I be concerned about getting all the oil out of the lines also and if so whats the best procedure for doing that.BTW its an Oliver 1550 if that makes any difference on procedure.
Thanks Stan

Yes, I would loosen and blow out all the lines. If it is really bad, I would fill with cheaper oil that meets the spec and run it for 30 minutes and drain it again and fill with "better" more expensive oil. Oil is alot cheaper and easier to change than doing mechanical repairs. When changing tractor hyd oil, I always install open lines in the remotes and blow oil into a bucket until I see fresh oil.

I usually try to get all the old oil out. Sometimes I wash thru with diesel then come back with hyd oil on a second pass. Then fill with fresh oil.
