I was salvaging posts and wire out of the lake yesterday and got a tear in my waders. The tag on them says nylon inner and nylon outer. The outside has a fabric like texture and the inside is smooth. They are very flexible, not like rubber waders. What is the best way to patch them?

Thanks in advance.

John

The waders you have are prolly made of Neoprene....Just like the wetsuits that divers use.

Find a local SCUBA shop and get a Wetsuit/Drysuit repair kit. $10 or so with several patches and all the other stuff you need.

I have 2 wetsuits and 1 neoprene drysuit that I have patched a few times....Never any problems.

Good Luck!

you could check with a kayak outlet. the patch kits they offer for Hypalon and other soft type material are designed to stay under water.

I'd try some of the silicone "goop" and a patch of similar material. I'm sure they sell patck kits but you just as well save your money and use what you allready have. That bathtub silicone is the same thing.
