When I was a kid, my dad had a tractor called a "Love" brand. Does anyone know anything about this kind of tractor? It looked something like a big Ford tractor, but it actually travelled 60 mph on the road.

Would apprciate a photo.

I have a Love rowcrop and a considerable amount of literature and pictures. I have the back issues of "Antique Power Magazine" with Paul Zoschke's articles on the LOVE and Friday tractors. I also have Bill Vossler's article from "Farm Collector Magazine" (which has MANY corrections published in the current issue!)
Feel free to e-mail if you like.
Rick

Check back archives for 'love' and 'friday' tractors -builders were somehow related. Michigan area built specialties for fruit and vegatable growers using chrysler parts, engines, had high road speed capabilities for hauling harvst to canneries- similar to some German tractors for road hauling.

At top of page of forum just under headings you should see a 'archive' selection to click on- that will take you to a page with a 'search' box at top. Key in 'keyword' and click search. findings can be displayed in date order. Note that any matching word in posting will list the posting- may not be exactly what you were searching for but there usually a lot of postings . RN..

I seen an early Love sell at Columbia City, IN auction a few weeks back. I brought better then 10K (not sure of the exact price). It was an odd ball. I think they were made in Eau Clair, MI for the fruit growers. Love, Friday & Truckter were all from the same place I think.
