I've been reading your posts ever since came on here...there were a lot of them I thought about replying to, but before I could get around to it Indydirtfarmer would take the words right out of my mouth so I figured why be repetitive...

A discussion forum is always more interesting when its pot is well stirred, and you, sir, are a dang good pot stirrer. A natural born agitator if ever there was one! and coming from me, that is definatly a complement!

My John Deere hat is off to you my friend!

New-Gen,
I couldn't agree with you more! The difference is that a "pot stirrer" knows how to make it all taste good. There's really never any serious trouble.

Hi NG,

Heck, I didn't even know I was doing that either. But, since ya brought it up, and in self-reflection, I gotta agree with you . :>)

Shucks, as long as they are hollerin' at me, it takes the pressure off you other guys. :>)

Thanks for the hollar,

Allan

Allan, ya nised a perfect opportunity to stir the pot some more. NewGen just said his John Deere is hat is off, Don't you think that as long as it is off anyway, he should just replace it with an IH hat? LOL (:

I don't play the JD vs. IH banter game too often unless it's with people that I know well, but I have to bite on this one. As a John Deere guy, I own only 1 IH hat and it was second prize at the SE PA IHC Collectors show tractor pull. I don't wear it, but I display it with pride knowing that it means that I beat all but one red tractor it's own show. They really should seriously rethink their policy on allowing other brands in their pull!

It's all in fun. I grew up on few red ones but have always loved the green ones. Our local tractor pulling club is full of the Allen/Indy type razzing. We all have a good time with it and thankfully it's never come to blows!

Yikes. I know whatcha mean 720, about the good natured banter between red and green. As long as it's all in fun I enjoy it. I even have one of each - a 1937 Deere and a 1946 Farmll. They sit beside each other in the shed and as far as I know they get along well. I love em both.
