Wow! From Oregon to North Carolina on a tractor?
I think you need to be more concerned about getting participants, and then worry about sponsors.

For sponsors I suggest Goodyear, Goodrich, Firestone--any company that makes tractor tires.

I remember the tales of the old American Agriculture Movement when farmers drove their tractors to Washington D. C. They ate up lots of tires. Seems I recall many only getting 300 miles out of a set at highway speed with the asphalt and concrete eating away at the rubber.

Good luck and have fun. If you come through Kansas where I live I"ll at least buy you a meal. You an individual, not an entire tractorcade.

Hey Greenbeenman in Kansas - I was one of those guys that drove to Washington DC. I drove a John Deere 4320 with duals. Everyone told us we would eat up a set of tires so we put on 2 brand new tires before we left. Dad said " I ruin 1 or 2 tires each year farming so i might as well get that out of the way during the winter". Guess what. The tires still had the little rubber nubs on them when we got there. Drove from Western Kansas all the way. Over 1600 miles. Towed my 4 wheel drive pickup truck with a camper. That is where I lived for 2 months. The highways won"t hurt the tires at tractor speeds. Now towing your tractor is a different story.

We go on a 300+ mile tractor ride every year, tire wear is very slim. The fun is worth all costs related.

Glad to hear that. I suppose that in 30 years tires have changed a lot. Hardly seems like nearly 30 years ago that the AAM we in swing.
