OT-Gravely elec problem

Since you've all helped me so much over the years with the tractors,I'm trying this question here(no takers in garden tractor section).I've got a Gravely 812,12V, neg ground mower (12 hp Kohler).Start it up runs ok for 5 -10 minutes,then dies-it's melting the solder right out of the fuse in the ignition circuit.Put a new fuse in,it's ok for another 5-10 minutes,then same thing.My brother borrowed it last fall-said he had to jump it once to start it.What fried? Thanks

Put a new fuse holder in it. We used to run six or seven of these tractors and the holder gets bad and heat builds up.
