Checking to see if anyone can tell me about the 841 ford workmaster. Prices, are parts easily available, good or bad if it's a gas burner? Found one but know if the price is good and if I'll have problems with it. Any info would be great and I think its a 60's model. Have the serial number 10820 if that helps.

The Workmaster name was given to the 601 series Fords (same basic tractor with a smaller engine). The 801 series is called a Powermaster. The 841 has a 4 speed transmission. Power steering and an auxiliary transmission (Sherman) were options. Your serial number indicates it was an early edition....built in December 1957 as a 1958 model.

A lot of info avail on those very popular tractors. Gears in them harder than any other. The 4 in the 841 tells you that it has a 4 speed trans and non-live pto. If live pto is important, then look for an 860 or 861. The Ford board has the experts on these tractors.

I have never had problems finding parts for my 801 series tractor. As long as its not the SOS tranny they are pretty good little tractors. HP is around 45 or so
