I'm a hyd dummy, but an open center pump should not, of course, ever shut off. It constantly cycle oil.

What must be happening is that the oil is going through your bypass, creating pressure? And heat, etc.

So, why? Something got plugged, or you have something hooked up wrong. Did you make any changes to the plumbing? Stick in a closed-center valve?

Otherwise, something in a power beyond port or the low-pressure return to sump must be plugged.

I have the loader off of it with the hoses pluged , would that make it act like there`s a plug ?

There you go.

If you left the hyd valve on the tractor, it should not be the cause. If you took the valves & all off, you just blocked up the oil flow with your plug.

Would it be like on a JD combine, when you disconnect the reel drive motor you must hook the hose ends together or the pump burns out?
