Every single component accurate and exact as shipped from factory in looks and appearance. No alternator swaps, chrome stacks, off brand gauges etc. Usually lots of options or a Plain Jane tractor with absolutely no options. Just a seat, steering wheel and drawbar. All clearances new or reusable specs as per the service manual. No sign of use or wear anywhere. Internal updates and updated factory accessories usually allowed. E.G. oval 30 series style mufflers on 1st numbered and 20 series two cylinders. The paint and base preparation is of smoothness and quality worthy of an exotic automobile showroom.

I think the term originated with the John Deere Two-Cylinder Club Exposition. The tractors shown are approved beforehand hence a tractor is expo quality if it is a high quality restoration acceptable to be shown at the show.

For all you Naysayers out there there I like tractors in there workclothes but it is also nice to see a beautifully restored tractor of any color.

I believe that "expo" is short for "exposed to the elements for many years, after which a coat of paint was slapped on over the rust."

It must be a green tractor.

Hi,

Hmmm :o). Let me guess. An unnecessarily fancy term for "show"? I don't even know what a "show tractor" is. Neither of the two tractors I own was ever made for "show". I suppose the current use of the term is intended to mean a tractor that is only run a couple of times a year in parades and that is meticulously "restored" (whatever that means) using paint that never existed and gloss that was unheard of when the tractor was built. But it "looks nice". In any event, beauty is in the eyes of the beholder, so I would not give it too much credibility until I saw it and judged the "quality" for myself.

Hey Rod, all of my tractors are show tractors. Everytime somebody drops by, I go show them my tractors. Later, Harley
