Draining the engine oil from the pan, the oil comes out very thin and smells like diesel fuel, I think I have a problem, any ideas?

Yes, it is more than likely the lift pump, not the injector pump. On MF/Perkins the lift pump diaphram will crack and leak fuel inot oil. Cheap easy fix.

As Bob suggests, the first place I'd look would be the transfer pump, assuming you have one...

more than likely you have a injector pod bad in the head and leaking by and getting in the oil

It would help to know what you're working with!

Obviously, leaky injection pump shaft seals are always a prime suspect.

If the unit has an engine-mounted fuel lift pump, if that fails diesel will drain into the oil.

Bad injector(s), or a broken high-pressure or return line can leak into the oil (if the lines are INTERNAL on the engine you're working with, as they are on certain engines).

Seals in your injector pump are going bad. I'm assuming of course it is a diesel tractor.

Engine with fuel in oil pan is a Perkins A4-236 in a Massey 265.

Replace the lift pump on the side is my guesstamation you have the Cav injection pump and i have not seen many of them with a bad seal not sayen that is not the problem but have seen more leaking lift pumps.
