Yep,

Ya can always tell when spring arrives in western Nebraska. We get some of our worst blizzards in March and April. Weatherman is predicting 3" of new snow; we crossed that half an hour ago up in these hills. :>)

Let 'er come; we need the moisture.

Allan

Hey Allan,

We had a flurry on Tuesday. Sure hope your storm passes by without dropping another gift. Little over an inch of moisture in the past three days, and I need to plant my trees this weekend. I'm ready for warm weather and a little less precip.

Hope you get all you want,

Dug

In todays newspaper is a article about the 04-05 winter season 214.5 inches and still counting. Snow is measured at D.O.T. in Mayville N.Y. , about 60 miles southwest of Buffalo Plowpusher

Now Allan,

I don't mean to pick....cause I certainly have never set foot in Western Nebraska....but I hope you are not implying that 3" of snow is a blizzard.....although now that I think of it....I am sure you recall hearing about "The Blizzard of '77" in Buffalo...
Did you know that there really wasn't that much snowfall associated with that? What happened, so I have been told, is that there was a bunch of loose snow laying on frozen Lake Erie, it all got grabbed up by just the right winds, and dumped square in Buffalo's face.

Why am I even mentioning this? I guess cause I am thinking the only way your 3" of snow becomes a blizzard is if the winds start kickin up around 50 mph. But you should still prepare for the worst. My mother in law spent the Blizzard in Millard Filmore hospital in Buffalo waiting on a surgeon to arrive to perform an emergency gall bladder removal.

He made it in time (unfortunately--lol).

Well, maybe you can use it as an excuse to get out there on the H one last time...
Have fun ol buddy!

Brian

Hi Brian,

Hmmmm, guess I did sort of connect the dots there, didn't I? :>)

Just meant that we usually get our worst storms in the spring. And, I'm hopin for the worst!

Although, my buddy down south is planning on haulin' that IH Clyco planter up here tomorrow. Don't know how that is gonna work out with the snowfalls we usually get up here in the hills. Wait and see, I guess.

However, snow removal equipment is standing at the ready. :>)

Allan, Sloroll, that is one of the main reasons I moved down here to the Ozarks from southwest Iowa. The &&*(^%$%&& snow. That on the hood of little Red is more than we"ve had all winter Allan. And keep it that way. Been dropping a fine drizzle here for the past three days and looks like got a couple more to go. We love it. The grass is green, the cows are loving it, and I"m already cutting back on hay. Got 11 on the ground, 18 to go, and no misses yet. Keep em coming. Later, Harley
