I bought Bobcat 843 at a spring auction that had a slight electrical fire. Other than the bobcat dealer hydraulic oil what other hydraulic oil alturnatives do I have? I like the dealer, it is just the long drive. Will the common hydraulic oil found found in nearly every tractor etc. store be acceptable?

In the 743 Bobcat at Work we use Motor oil. 10-30 I think is what the Book calls for.

Im no expert but,I have been driving an older JD skidsteer at work for a long time and over the years weve put just about anything in it,even motor oil in a pinch, never seem to bother it,although this machine is used inside 99% of the time so I imagine extreme temperature might be a factor if your not using oil up to specs.
Good Luck
Stan
