Can anyone tell me if I should put the gas tank conditioner in my old white loader 2-63 it has a metal tank. I get some rust in the glass bowl.

If you mean the stuff they put in metal fuel tanks to seal off the rust, you"d better take off the tank, drain it out good, then dump in some steel nuts, and shake the tank really well, letting the nuts rattle around in there until they knock off any rust in the tank! Then, wash out the inside again, with laquer thinner, or something suitable, or have a radiator shop wash it out good. Then, pour in the gas tank goo, roll the tank around, until you are sure the whole inside is coated. Then pour out the excess, and let it dry according to the instructions on the can. Folks say it does work good, but i"ve never tried it. by: Rustyj
