Is the steering really hard to turn or is it just slow? if it is hard it might be the thrust bearings on the spindles needing grease or replacing. I have an 1800 Oliver that is doing something like that and I think I am going ot check those next on it.

Hi John,

That's probably why it has been setting for so long? :>(

The steering is the first item in the food chain for the output of that front pump and gets priority. Is the bypass squealing? Maybe change the oil and filter?

How do the brakes, T/A and clutch work? They come in line after the steering and if they are sluggish as well, you might need a front pump (seems odd tho, at 1500 hours).

Maybe the old sister just needs to be taken out and limbered up again.

Hope ya get 'er figured out,

Allan
