I am sending a sealed bid in on a 656 Utility and was wondering what anyone thought would be a good bid. I has 2725 hrs and looks like a IH 2000 loader. Anyone know of things to look for trouble wise? I see dealers are selling anywhere from $6500-8500. You don"t see too many of them.

Thanks

Check for seepage around rear axle seals-they put a cast hub on a steel shaft. Once they start to leak, new o-rings & seals won't help. Also check out front end -massive, heavy looking but first source of trouble. Otherwise , good machine.

I would say a bid of $5000.00 to $5500.00would be in line if you plan to use it . For resale $1000.00 less

Seems like rather low hours, has the hour meter been working the whole time? I suppose it is possible those are actual hours.

It does sound like low hours but, it was owned by a city park. I have seen it and it looks to be in very good condition.

If those are actual hours it has a pretty good chance of selling on the higher side. I have a 656 for sale now asking 6800. They seem to sell in that range...Jim
