Thanks To all in reply to Chris Mateer, 02-19-2005 06:32:41
Thanks to all for the help

From your comments I worked it out to be A John Deere 440ICd with a 831 loader Although this had a 2cyl motor not a 3 cyl as my one has

Now the fun stuff to get manuals & restore it

thanks again to all Chris

I have to agree with the others that it looks alot like a Deere of some type. The design of the hardnose and the way it bolts up looks almost identical to our 440IC but the undercarriage is different than the 440. Too I never knew the 440's to come with anything other than the standard 2 cylinder Deere gas or the 2 cylinder Detroit diesel. Good luck finding out what it is and make sure to let us know what you find.

Do you have any casting numbers off the engine such as the engine block and head?

Don't know either, but it looks like a HEAP of work to me! How long have the remains been sitting? The longer the worse it's going to be!
