I am working on getting a one of my tractors restored. I have a 1950 Farmall H and a 1951 Massey Harris 44GS. Wich one will be easier for a first time job?

I don't know anything about a Massey, but an H is pretty easy to work on.

Kevin:

I would go with the Farmall H for sure first. It's really an easy design to work on and I have found parts to be more readily available( depending where you live of course). I have had both Farmall and Massey Harris. Both good tractors though! Enjoy!

Well i was thinking about the H first but alot of people into collecting old tractors now heard about this MH 44 GS i have and they really want to see it at the WNYG&SA show this year so i think ill have to do that one first. Most people never saw the massey 44 standard out east here.
I actually think this also may be easier to tackle first becuase all this one needs is some sandblasting and painting. Were as the H still need some minor mechanicle work.
