I have a John Deere 14T baler that has been sitting for 15 years or so. It worked perfect before it set. I am sure it needs some maintance before it works. My Question is, What is it worth???? As is and in working order.

Wife bought a NH 268 Hayliner, scruffy but very workable, for $750 - last fall. Good working baler. Put up 2500 bales with it this last summer. Ended up replacing two cheap bearings, couple pickup teeth, and a tire. Suspect that old balers are pretty much the same as far as price. We used a 14T for many years when I was growing up here on the farm. Contrary to what some may say, it was a good baler.

A fellow is advertising a 14T that has been shedded on the local "Farmer's Market" for $200...sounds reasonable.

Bought a 24T (upgrade to 14T) several years ago for $700. Had been barn kept and owner wasn't afraid to use his grease gun. Only thing I did was replace the tieing brake shoes ($40) and it did fine.

I'd say put what you want on it. If it sits, drop down till it sells or keep it.

Well you can say as is but can't say in working order unless you go out and make sure it does work. The last one I got which was field ready cost me $350
