5 inches of snow today (40 miles west of KC). Took off work early and got some good tractor time in, but I believe I'm ready to start the mowing season. Come on spring, where are you?

To insure that Winter passes quickly, borrow money in early December on a 90 day note.

Hey Can ya fellas load up your tractors with snow and haul it out to Central Washington State. Looks like our snowpack is at 50% and that means nothing to fill the resevoirs. Hate to see all this hard work turn into desert again.....anyway keep us in your prayers....thanks...

We had that much ice here in 1998. 4 to 6 inches of ice everywhere in the Great Ice Storm of 1998. And yeah, you're right, no one wants to see it again.

I am not looking for spring but rather the heat of summer so we can dry out. It is warm enough all ready for the grass to grow but you could get a push mower stuck in my yard it is so wet.

Over 4 1/4" in Jan. and 4 3/4" so far this month all ready.

John,

I could almost feel sorry for you about all the moisture, but that part about already being warm enough to grow grass just empties my heart of all pity.

Dug;
I really do not see how you all put up with all that cold weather. Guess that is why Fla. is full of snow bunnies.

Yes we are about to have the last of winter and the trees will be budding soon. 10 PM here now and it is still 69 deg. Might go down to 60 tonight and about 34 Thursday night after the front passes.

While I need to wait till about the 10th of March here where I live; at my Dads house in New Orleans they will be planting tomato transplants in about 1 and a 1/2 weeks.

Dug, we're getting snow here in NW Missouri. I'm ready to fire up the old Super C and start mowing. Not sure how much we've got, but the weatherman thinks we're in for 4-6 inches. All the schools here cancelled games tonight, I think my school was the last.
Don't worry, spring is coming!!

NW MO is getting what we just got. That storm is moving NE and just left KC. Where you at in MO?

Nice country up there. Last year a friend bought 40 acres to hunt deer up that way. He scored a 10 pointer 1st year out.

Just wait the weather will change. A photo I once saw here showed a horse pulling a sleigh, the horse was in belly deep snow, the front runners of the sleigh were in 10" of snow, the rear runners of the sleigh were in mud, following the sleigh was a dog kicking up dust.

You know it wouldn`t have made me mad if you had kept the snow on the west side of MO,it started here about 6:00pm and I do not need any seat time. My Super C and I work better when it is 70 outside! (NEMO North of Mark Twain Town)
