I'm not a Case expert, but most of the Case hoes and crawlers in the 310,320, 410, and 420 range I've had or looked at had 148 gas or 188 diesel engines in them. I've got a 580CK with the 188D. They're all in the 35-39 horespower range. This website, or Jennsales probably has the manuals. As far as what it's worth? I'm in central New York State. I rarely see any small backhoes that are in good running condition for less than $4000 and prices in that range are rare. They are more often up around $5-$6,000. I just looked at a beat-up 310 Case wheel hoe that is barely useable for $4500. I bought a 4000 Ford industrial with 723/724 loader/hoe for $3800. A guy had a yard sale down the road from me and sold his Massey Ferguson WorkBull 204 loader/hoe with brand new tires and Perkins three cylinder diesel - for $1800! I could of cried - but someone else got it - for that price he gave it away. Anyway, there are some prices. I'm always hearing about the great deal someone gets - but such "deals" are not easy to find.

Thanks for the info. but, yet to see if it`s a good deal. I payed 3200, and everthing seems to work.Oil pressure gauge goes down to 10 when warm. I will change the oil to 15w40 and go from their. Can`t maintain throttle rpm as well .I think governor needs some work.Plus the up draft carb frosted up . Don`t no why, manifold leak? I think I have my work cut out for me. Thanks again for info and web address. Jeff NY
