First I want to thank everyone that responded to my request to buy a 2n governer. I bought one the same day I placed the ad. I didn't answer all of you personally because I didn,t know how. Now I,m looking for the generator adjusting arm that goes from the top of the head to the band that goes around the generator.
Thank You all.
Richard

on 9n's & 2n's there was a bracket on the head with a hole for a 1/2 in bolt with a spring on it
the bolt would go through the generator band then the spring would go on then the nut then through the head bracker the spring would keep the belt tight you may have to adjust the posion of the band to make it work . the right front wheel steering hits the generator when the right wheel comes up all the way also get a belt that is as short and still get on

If you can't come up with the part, try finding a similar piece off a car in the local auto parts recycler's lot. I've also fabricated a couple using nothing more complicated than a vice, hammer, drill, hacksaw and file.
