What does the R stand for on a AR JohnDeere? Any help would be great.

In the case of the John Deere A and B models, the "R" is AR or BR stands for Regular tread. The wheel width (both front and rear wheels) is not adjustable. The front axle is not the tricycle arrangement, but neither is it the wide front axle. The front tires and back tires run pretty much on the same line, I believe.
When John Deere came out with the Numbered Series, the variant letter was changed to "S" for Standard tread (same thing as regular tread), i.e. 70S.
