I have been trying to find the answer to my bobcat 743 problem. The issue is that the engine bogs down when it is under load.(ex steer bars all the way forward, driving while operating the bucket. This pretty much started after i put a new sediment bowl and filter in, new glow plugs, and new glow plug relay.

Please help distressed young man!
Thanks Jason

How clean is your air filter?

Had a similar problem in a mini excavator with a Yanmar in it. Turned out to be a bad fuel pump.

The air filter i checked and it looked clean then i ran it without it for a sec and it acted close to the same but it might be a quick fix? I probably should of said this in my first post (Fawteen) The reason why i replaced the fuel lines was they were old and collapsed and kept sucking tight. well this went on for a a week while i needed it for snow removal. So do you think with those the fuel pump sucking tight like that it could of damaged it? It does smoke (black) when it bogs down.

By the way i see why my father is on ytmag 24 7 you guys are nice and helpful
Thank you all Jason

My dad had a problem kinda like that with a diesel lawn mower,it would take spells of loss of power but belch out black smoke. I thought it was really wierd to have that much smoke and have a fuel restriction. Turns out he needed to change ALL the fuel filters, still had a little problem so I told him to bleed the fuel injectors with it running as it had a very slight miss at idle.I think it had some air trapped in the injection line as it is better now.
