The sears 12 transaxle will have a drain plug on the RH lower side of the case, RH looking at it from the rear. The filler pipe is an elbow just above the left axle support. Filling is easier by taking out the shifter, 4-1/4 inch bolts. They hold 3 quarts of 30 wt motor oil if you live in cold country.

One that we had I drilled a small hole in and then pumped some gear oil in, because I thought it might need some aditional lubrication. drilled and tapped 8-32 so I could plug the hole. Before long it started to drip a little from around the axle shafts, so I guess I should have left it alone,although it didn't drip much. I undestand if the're not hydrostatic most are just packed with grease for life.

Some of the transaxle mowers do not have a filler plug. They are sealed.
Did you buy it at N Livestock ?
