I don't know what the average value is - but I just missed buying a similar one on Ebay. Good running condition but not new paint. It went for $3200 and was a 1020 with gas engine. I bought a 300 last year for $2200 with a gas engine - it was kind of beat up, 1/2 worn tires, but runs very good - live power, power steering, three point hitch, hi-low-reverse with four ranges. The 300 is the industrial version of the 1020 - basically the same but painted yellow instead of green, and the 830 is pretty much the same as the 1020 - but, as I recall manufactured in Germany and I think only available with the diesel engine. I've worked on quite a few 830s, I don't recall seeing any prominent differences from the 1020 except for german writing here and there. Regardless if the writing on the ID tag is German or English, they're real nice little tractors. They have the same engines as used in the 350 crawlers - 135 gas or the 152 diesel - both around 35-38 horsepower.
