we've been gettin quite a bit a snow, and i went and sold my plow truck 87 chev with an old meyers plow. truck body was rough/plow was good shape..i sold it for $1850 to the first caller...i've been lookin in the duluth paper, and there are trucks that sound worse than mine, and are selling from 4-5k...what are plow trucks selling in your area...on the bright side i'm gonna hook up v'plow like old has, that i had made mounts for/ and used on 656....hope i don't miss the old truck.

I think ya did real well.. I just sold my 87 K5 Blazer for $1200 and the body was real solid. The plow set up is worth about $1000 used so $850 for a rotted out truck is doing well.

You will almost always second guess yourself when you sell something you still like...but just think...now the truck is someone else's problem when something goes wrong (and it will..you know that).

Don't be too quick to cry, your old truck IS sold, you recieved $1850, that money is in your pocket. The prices of the trucks in the ads are ASKING prices, you can ask any amount you want, but if you really want to sell, you ask a price that you know people are willing to pay. I am guessing that the person who bought your truck has seen the other ads, and was not willing to pay those higher prices.

Have you sent me an e-mail and got the pictures of my V plow? If not I'd be happy to send them to you. With that sent up you will move more snow then you would with you old truck but maybe not go as fast as far as ground speed. My e-mail is open by the way. Rich

i took a look at your set up...it looks intimidating!!!!! We've had this old v plow monster since the 60's, and never used it..in the mid 90's i built mounts to fit my loader, but wouldn't you know it, no big snow until this year, so i have it parked behind pole shed (i'm sure its buried) this afternoon, i'm gonna see if i can get to it...i'm gonna take another look at your pictures..
as far as my truck/plow, i think it was a hair bit cheap, but i kind of feel like the prices on that stuff is kind of over the top right now..no use crying about it now.....

Plow by itself should bring more than you got for the whole thing.

It seems about right for these parts. you probably could have gotten another coupla hundred but not enough to make a big difference.
