I was traveling over to the Portland, Indiana show a couple of years ago and I noticed a man had built a "V" plow and put it on the front of a 45 or 55 Deere combine. I thought at the time that sure is a good use of a old combine . Has anyone ever tried it or what are your thoughts????Earl In Illinois

Side tracking a bit, I've have owned two models of Gleaners, both driven by belt via variable speed.

Wouldn't that possibly create some problems using a Gleaner?

There was a guy here that posted a picture of his combine fitted with a big blade on it. Was about a month or so ago. HUGE. Think the guy was from one of the Dakotas or Minn. Is probably somewhere under tractor photos. HUGE Deere. May as well use it, they aint cheap.

There is a fella up here in North Central Iowa that uses an old F4 Gleaner to power a twelve foot three stage snowblower. I can"t remeber the guys name but it sure is a neat contraption to see.

I helped a friend of mine put an 8 ft. 3pt. mount snowblower on the front of a 6600 Deere about 5 years ago. Works great in the So. Dak. snows although we haven't had any to blow yet this year. He had pictures available if anyone is interested.
