If any of you would like more info on my V snowplow drop me an e-mail and I might be able to give you an idea of how I built it. I also posted a couple pictures of it in the tractor photos.

Hi Old,

They work nicely, don't they? I took a six foot wide one that was commercially built for my AC-B back in the '40s and widened it to about 10 feet to use on my Oliver 77. I used to chain it to the bucket but have since taken to pulling the pins and replacing the bucket with the plow - makes the overall length of the unit shorter that way. I normally plow my driveway (1/2 mile long) with a one ton PU with 8 ft standard blade. But when the going gets tough with deep, heavy, wet snow, the V can't be beat due to the steep angle on both sides providing a balanced sidethrust. I also use it to push the banks back to make room for the next storm. third party image

Yep to me the V is the only way to go to more the snow, one pass and I"m done and it seems the faster I go the better it works.

This looks like a great idea. I have a couple questions and can't tell from the images.

Is it made of wood? (ie plywood on a frame)

How'd you mount it to the bucket? I really don't want to do any welding or major mods to my bucket.

Drop me an e-mail and I can give better pictures and expland the mounts better. Its all steel and mounts with a U shaped piece of steel at the bottom and top. Takes me about 5 minutes to put it on or take it off.

Mornin" Old,

Saw your photos of the snow plow. That is excatly what I would like to build for my JD 2510. Any specs on building the v plow would be greatly appreciated.

Dug

Drop me an e-mail and I can give you the measurements and how I hook it up. I have it fixed so you leave the bucket on and it just hooks to the bottom lip of the bucket and the upper part of the bucket.
