My 3 pt hitch on my JD 2130 will raise but wont come down. I have a control valve below my seat but it doesnt respond. The arms will eventually come down over the course of a day or two. Ive heard that the valve may be stuck.. Does anyone know how to unstick the valve that lets the arms come down or have any other suggestions?

I had the same problem on my 4230 a couple months back. Was using a post hole digger & just stopped working all of a sudden. I disconnected the linkage at the control arm and manually moved the control arm way back & it came down (be careful not to catch an arm or something under the lift arms). Turned out that I had a broken spring in the rockshaft housing. It holds tension on the internal linkage. Without this spring there isnt enough travel in the external linkage to make the lift drop. It was only 10 dollars in parts but it took a bit to take the housing off & all.

thanks for the tip. Thats the only other thing ive heard mechanically. Everyone else says it needs something on the back or colder weather makes it not want to come down. Ive screwed the valve all the way out so it should be coming down pretty fast..

Hope i can figure out what youre talking about and how to get into it the housing.

Is that with an impalment on or just the arms? also have you tried to push them down? Most 3 points will not go down when its cold out unless you have something on them.
