I have a 1950 MM ZAU that I have been told probably has a "sticky" valve. What is the most likely cause of this? What should I be looking for as the culprit component?
What are some of the "symtoms" of a "sticky" valve?

Thanks.

When I was a boy I remember my dad would put Liquid Wrench Penetrating oil in with the oil and I think some in with the gas on his Farmall when he had a sticky valve.

This is what happened to me last year. I had some really old gas, so I thought I would mix it with some good gas and add it to my tractor. This was a big mistake. I got a real bad case of sticking valves. I actually had to remove the valve cover and tap the valve to get it to seat again . I added some Rislone to the oil and the problem eventully went away. Old gas was what caused my problem with valves sticking. Stan
