Hey buddy, you got the front door unfroze yet? Looks on the weather like it's colder than a welldigger's bootheels up your way. 9 above here this morning. Had to feed, and no wind so it didn't feel too bad. Didn't get any snow, and glad of that. Merry Christmas to you and yours, Harley

Hi Allen,

We must be on the other side of the front 'cause when I got up at 3, it was 29 and now at noon it is up to around 40 or so.

I'm not complainin' tho, least I didn't have to put a fire under a diesel this mornin' like at lot of you ol' boys did.

Merry Christmas to all of you too.

Allan

Allen, That brings back not so fond memories growing up on a farm in Indiana. I can remember several times that we built a fire under the old WC to get it started on those -20 to -30 degree mornings. That was so we could hook on to a wagon and drive three miles to Grandma's place and get a load of hay for the cows. Now that was a cold ride for sure. Also remember a few times leaving at 8:00 AM, to get Dad to the highway (4 miles one way, so he could try to get to work by 3:00 PM. Since the highway was usually plowed, he always got to work. We would turn around and get back home ,hopefully by 3:00 PM so we could warm up before going out at 4:00 to do the milking. Bob D. (La) PS: Now I remember why I now live in Louisiana instead of Indiana. Course, even down here we managed to have some snow flurries today.
