I have a Farmall super M with a factory wide front end. I"m looking to trade it on a 60 hp tractor. I"m wondering what a good trade-in value for this tractor would be?

Tim, you'll be better off trying to sell it than trading it on a newer and bigger because to the dealer it is more trouble than its worth. He will take it just to get your business but believe me he's not giving you anything for it..... Hope you get what you want but around here in central Missouri really good ones bring around 1800. Some people ask more but they have them out front for months with no takers.

Click on tractor values at the left. The original wide front is worth as much as the rest of the tractor, I'm told by my local salvage yard owner. My superM has an aftermarket wide front and he offered me $1,250 for it sight unseen. I won't sell of course, I like it for so many reasons, and it is in excellent condition. If I can locate a used 3pt hitch kit for it great!

Tim, I forgot to post a thought. If you desire to trade-in your super M, you might consider my method, I calculate what I must receive for the super M, figure out what is the least the prospective tractor can be bought for, figure the difference and then return to the salesman. I state what I will pay this difference, and everything else is a moot point. The salesman can set his price for either tractor, but the price difference is my offer, if he cannot meet it--goodbye! This effectively removes all the sales tactics from the negotiations. I hope I've explained it logically.
