Thanks to everyone who replied. I now have the part I need ordered from the Robin-rents site, expensive but a couple of bucks under Graingers. I was able to download a manual from the DESA site. Apparently I did not recieve a manual when I bought the heater, so the DESA site was not a total loss. Here's a tip for anyone else having problems, if yours has the ignitor like mine, do not, I repeat, do not attempt to modify the ignitor in any way. It is made of tungsten, it WILL NOT bend.

I ordered the part this morning, just recieved an e-mail telling me the part has been shipped. Why can't my local farm store provide service like that?

Rusty, That heater would feel pretty good this morning it was 13 degrees when I got up here in Springfield, MO, Coldest day we have had so far. Glad you found your parts.

Walter, we had just +2 when I got up, too cold to even think about going to the shop with the heater not working yet.
