Posted this on a couple other boards, sorry if you see this more than once, just want to get as many opinions as I can. I've got a IH 756 with a D-310 that is a bit of a hard starter. The coolant heater helps, and it does have the ether-assist, but I've never been too crazy about using ether. I've noticed that many newer engines use what looks like a glow plug screwed into the manifold. I've thought about removing the ether can and trying one of these. Think it would make a difference? The manifold already has two large threaded holes that are plugged, mabey I could screw the heater into one of these? How should I wire it, use the old ether button and a relay? Anything to look out for or any reason why this wouldn't work?
