I have been having a problem the past week or so and would like to find out if any one else is having the same problem.
When I open a post that has a picture I am getting a red X on some even though they were posted right.
This only happens to some pictures. In fact I think it is only with pictures that are in YT tractor shed and then linked to in a post.
What I tried..... ....
I right click on the red X and go to properties to get the address of the picture. I then put this address in the address bar on top and open the picture. When I then return to the post The picture works from then on so I know they are posted right. My computer is just having problems opening the link to start with.

ANY IDEAS????? ?????
If others are having the same problem it may be something on Kim's end that is wrong.

On the Internet Explorer top line menu, click "Tools" then "Internet Options". Click on the "Advanced" tab and go to the "Multimedia" section. Make sure the "Show Pictures" line is checked.

John: Not sure I follow what you are saying, but will give you something to think about. I have YT bookmarked both on Netscape and Explorer. I can view photos on Explorer that I cant get open on Netscape. Now, my good better half who keeps this machine up and running tells me we don't have the upgrades on Netscape that we do on Explorer.

Hi Hugh,

Ya I had to give up NS as I use on-line banking and the banks software didn't like NS. Bank said NS had to many security leaks.

OK I think I will just inform Kim and see what she says.
I have my fire wall off.
Try this..... ..
There is two post below on the tractor board.
1)"Rusted out valve stem"
2)"Christmas Pictures"
When I open these post the pictures come right up first time. They are pictures that are posted on another site and are linked to here.
Now there is a post on the 9N;2N;8N board.
"My attempt to post a photo"
These photos are posted in tractor shed and then linked to the post.
When I opened it the first time all I saw was a red X. I then did as I said before of copying and pasting address in address bar to see the picture. Now every time I open the post the pictures show up so I know the link works.

Look at the post I referee to on the 8N board and see if you get a X or can see picture.

Thanks John

Hi John,

I had no problem viewing all the pics you sent us too.

I'm using IE 6.1

I'm using McAfee 8000 for a firewall. I just love it as even XP has to get premission to open a file or program. Even tho I have auto updates turned off, XP trys to send info too MS but gets blocked by the firewall.

John,

Have you checked your firewall? Are you blocking ads? That will kill the pictures.

Hi John,

It means the link to that pic has been broken. If you can still view the pic then where the pic is located is not the problem or?

A few years back, Power something (just like Webshots) had a problem where you could view the pic on/at there website but the links were broken to other websites, then it also happen to the website. The website soon closed.

It occasionaly happens to me also, except for the new community album, I have never been able to view any of the pictures posted in that forum. I think the problem is on Kim's end.
