Anyone have any experience in changing over from a narrow front end to a wide front on a JD 3010? If so, do you have any tips?

You can always reach MasterTwinkanutty directly at simplesimon500@yahoo.com.

We changed a 4020 over; my Dad bought it new in '65. Used a front-end loader to haul silage out of a trench silo for years with it. First bought an after-market front-end, but kept tearing it up. Finally bought the correct one from JD. Only 4 bolts, plus the tie-rods..... well, I guess there are also the 4 where the pedestal used to sit and the tie-rods now connect. Nothing to it..... .if you have a way to support the front of the tractor.

Done it many times, Nothing to it just make sure you use the right length bolts which holds the steering arm on the steering motor, if they are too long they will knock the seal out, I dont remember what length the bolts should be but I do remember they are an odd length, If someone here does'nt know check your JD dealer (very important). There are some wedge shaped washers that go up in the frame under the bolts the really need to be there also.
The same front axle fits 2510 through 4320

I've never done a new gen but I've done two bangers. Just make sure everything is well blocked up so you don't get any surprises. Heavy iron, soft pink body!
