WD45 Rocker arm to valve cover sequence

I posted this under Allis section, but got no response.

After 2 years, I am in the process of putting the value cover on. Unfortuantely, I can't remember what was there.

After the rocker arm, do the rubber washer go on before the splash guard? Or after the splash guard. Then what?

Then does the splash guard have nuts on it?

If I understand your question correctly- the splash guard goes on first, then the valve cover, then the rubber washers go on underneath the nuts that hold the cover on. Anything without paint, like the splash guard- goes INSIDE the engine. If you over-torque the nuts you will distort the valve cover gasket and cause oil leaks. Torque according to the specs in the service manual, and a cork gasket, rather than the rubber gasket, seals better!
