I am looking for 13.6 or 15.5x38" tires on wheels that will fit a 1937 f20. I know the tires exist but what about the rims? Were these ever available, were they custom made or were they adapted from some other source?I saw a pair for sale in the archive photo ads but the contact information was removed.

plenty of factory round spokes out there but I think they were only 36" rims, not 38" so if it would be a 38" it would be a cutdown wheel and the cast wheel centers were only on 39 models as I understand. also a lot of F20 on 28" rubber as well. I think all 28" and 36" were made by F & H that made wheels for a lot of manufactures

Cast center wheels were available in mid 1937 through the end of production. So if his tractor is a 1937 it could very well have the cast type wheels.

I thought from all that I had heard they were 39 models only but had now way of knowing for shure. I know that before the cast wheels there was the wide tread and narrow tread versions but I thought ( may very well be wrong) when the cast centers came out there was no more wide or narrow tread tractors and I have seen advertised as 38 models that were either wide or narrow and that is all I had to go on but I still have never seen a F20 with 38" rubber, only the 36" or the small 28". Teach me.

If your wheel centers are the cast type that originally came out with 36" rims, you can put on a rim that is 38". The ones that I know fit are off of Coop tractors like the E3. These rims will bolt right up to the F-20 centers and are for 38" tires. Hope this helps.

I am thinking unless the wheel center is cast iron, then the tractor came out with steel wheels, as the flat or round steel spokes were cut off and a rim welded to add rubber tires. Some guys did excellent work and it's hard to tell from a factory looking job.So they could have put any width rim they wanted to.My 1938 model has cast wheels and the tire place has only one guy that will work on it because it is a split rim type arrangement.
