I need help figuring this one out... This is what I believe to be a riding mower (missing some parts) It has 3 wheels 2 in front to steer with, and 1 solid rubber one in the back. Please take the time to look at the picture that I posted on the following webpage (scroll down to see the picture once the page opens)

www.geocities.com/jeffah202004/Ridingmower1.html?1101596330885

Any information would be appreciated

Thanks for your time, Jeff Holland

Looks to be the rare Essex Tri-Directional lawn tractor from the Essex Tractor Co. of Longfellow, Ia.

I posted your picture on farmalcub.com. One of the members remembers using one in the eary 50s, but couldn't remember what kind it was.

It looks like an old Heckendorn. I have not been able to find a picture yet. The scrap yard here in town has a couple he uses to mow around with.

I don't have a clue, but it is an interesting machine to say the very least.

I've never seen one like that, but the seat sure doesn't look very comfortable. I'd guess you're missing more parts than you have. Any chance it was homemade? Must've been miserable to operate with the frame welded fast to the deck.

I've never seen one like it either, but compared to a push mower it may not be that uncomfortable.
