Howdy,

Well, day after Thanksgiving came and with it a little holiday cheer. My friend dropped by with all the oil and fuel needed for his nearly finished JD M that I'm restoring. Oh boy oh boy oh boy. I was excited. Well, that is until I discovered the leak in his hydraulic line. It's at the point where the suction line enters the valve housing. So, gotta work on shuttin that off. Well, I finished up the rest of the fluid fillups (minus the water and gas) and decided to give the engine a try to see how she'd sound. Unfortunately I got pulled into dismounting our cornpicker from the JD A instead. Had to wait till tonight. I finally got in after supper. Put a little fuel in and opened up the line...flowed great. I turned on the switch, pulled the choke, set the throttle, and hit the starter.....crank...crank...crank...crank. Nothin. It wouldn't hit a lick. Man I was disappointed. But, I guess that's what I get for gettin too anxious and excited. I'll have to start diagnosing what the heck's goin on. Probably a fuel issue since all the electrical stuff is new and the carb is not. By the way it's been over 20 years since this one's run and I discovered that the fuel line leaks. Hate havin a nice shiny green tractor sittin there that won't run. Back to the drawing board. Part of the fun. God bless.

Hey feller, had the same tropuble one time. If you can find those other two cylinders that thing will run right off. Guarantee it. Good luck, Harley
