Last Spring I bought a Ramsey 8000 winch because the knee doc said I shouldn't carry more than 25# if I wanted the new knee to last. I mounted it behind the headboard on my 1-ton truck and rigged a pulley on the power tailgate to drag pallets of fertilizer to the back. The problem was I was only going to use it a few days out of the year, so I made a false headboad to move hay to the back. They both work slicker than snot on a doorknob. Yesterday I loaded logs by lifting them with the tailgate as I dragged them to the front. I guess I'm going to get my money's worth out of that $600 winch after all.

Mounted a winch on my Flat Bed Trailer to load things with works great both ways put a pully on the back of the trailer to pull the loads off to. Sure beats using a Come-A-Long to do it! Mark H.

I've got an old Warn 8000 winch that will hook up to a class IV reciever hitch. I can use it on the back of my truck, or now I have a reciever socket on my gooseneck trailer. The longer you have one, the more things you'll figure out to do with it. Handy as a shirt pocket! John
